On 3rd and 4th February 2023, the Education Matters Working Group of the Europe Region met in Athens where it was proposed that the name of the Working Group was changed to increase awareness about research. 

After discussion at Executive Committee level and during the last online meeting of the Education Matters Working Group, it was agreed that the name of the group be changed to Education and Research Matters Working Group.

This change aims to increase research awareness in Europe and to better define the work of the working group. It is also in line with the Strategic Plan of the Europe Region.
